This morning, Beckwith Middle School celebrated the promotion of the 8th grade class! The day began with our Presidential Breakfast, where students were recognized with Presidential Awards for their outstanding achievements. We then gathered for a wonderful promotion ceremony to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026. We are incredibly proud of all that our 8th graders have achieved during their time at Beckwith Middle School. As they prepare to begin their high school journey, we wish them nothing but success and happiness in the years ahead. Best of luck, Class of 2026! Thank you for the memories, and remember—you will always be part of the Beckwith family. We truly have amazing students! #WeAreDR #EIS #DT2030

The 8th Grade Celebration Day at Beckwith Middle School was a blast! After breakfast with their former Palmer River teachers, students enjoyed a slideshow filled with memories, signed yearbooks, shared lunch and ice cream with friends, and wrapped up the day with the annual walk around Palmer River Elementary School. As they made their way around the school, they were cheered on by both PRES and Beckwith students. It was a day filled with laughter, memories, and a few happy tears as we celebrated the Beckwith Class of 2026. A special thank you to the 8th grade team and parent volunteers who worked so hard to make this day such a memorable experience for our students. #WeAreDR #BMS8thGrade

8th Grade Celebration Day has begun, and I think we may have a new tradition! We started the day with a special 8th Grade Breakfast that brought back so many great memories. The Palmer River teachers joined us to reconnect with students and reminisce about their elementary school days. Students enjoyed a slideshow featuring photos from their time at Palmer River, and old yearbook photos were on display for everyone to look through and share memories. And of course, the breakfast itself was tremendous! A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this event possible. It was an absolute hit and a wonderful way to kick off our 8th grade celebrations. We are grateful for the strong connection between Palmer River and Beckwith and for helping make this such a memorable experience for our students. #WeAreDR #ClassOf2026

Step Up Day was a great success today as we welcomed the 4th graders from Palmer River Elementary to Beckwith! Students enjoyed a school tour, a brief video, and a Q&A session to learn more about what to expect next year. I was impressed by the thoughtful questions they asked and how attentive, respectful, and well-behaved they were throughout the visit. It is clear that we have an outstanding group of future Beckwith students, and next year is going to be a lot of fun! A special thank you to our current 5th grade students who did an amazing job serving as tour guides and ambassadors for our school. 4th grade parents, don't forget about our Parent Information Night tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. This event is designed to help parents learn more about Beckwith Middle School and provide an opportunity to ask questions as we prepare for the transition to Grade 5. We look forward to seeing you there! #WeAreDR #EIS #DT2030

Wednesday evening at Beckwith Middle School was our annual Unified Potluck Dinner, celebrating another incredible year of Unified Sports and the friendships, teamwork, and inclusion that make the program so special. Families, students, and staff enjoyed great food, awards, and a slideshow highlighting memories from throughout the year. Congratulations to Ciana DuVally and Leland Hess, recipients of this year's Linda Sousa Unity Awards, recognizing their commitment to inclusion and school community. The evening also marked a special moment as Mrs. Jerauld announced that she will be stepping down from Unified Sports. As one of the founding members of the program, Mrs. Jerauld helped build Unified into the award-winning program it is today. Her dedication has created countless opportunities and lasting memories for our students over the years. Thank you, Mrs. Jerauld, for your leadership and commitment to the Beckwith community. #BeckwithBelievers #WeAreDR

What a fun and exciting day at Beckwith for the annual Grade 5 Academic Challenge! Students put their knowledge to the test through individual questions, homeroom challenges, and even some teacher competitions. The competition was close from start to finish, with plenty of excitement along the way. Congratulations to Mrs. Crohan’s homeroom for capturing the Academic Challenge Trophy! The trophy will be proudly displayed in Mrs. Crohan’s classroom until next year's competition. Great job to all of our Grade 5 students for their participation, teamwork, and academic effort throughout the event. #WeAreDR #EIS #DT2030

The Falcon Cup recognizes those who empower others, ignite possibility, and shape a brighter future.

Yesterday, we proudly announced our very first recipient: Jen DeMattos.

Her work to support students and families reminds us that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.

Congratulations, Jen! And thank you for showing us what it means to be #WeAreDR.

Students in Mr. Camillo’s Grade 7 Science classes recently took on an exciting engineering challenge focused on Newton’s Laws of Motion. Their mission was to increase the force acting on their Hot Wheels car by any means necessary using a meter track, a stopwatch, a calculator, and materials they could find in the classroom. After testing their designs, students worked together to apply physics formulas for speed, acceleration, and force to calculate how many Newtons of force were acting on their cars. A great example of hands-on learning, collaboration, and critical thinking in action! #WeAreDR #EIS #DT2030
