After receiving my Masters degree from Indiana University and working in nursing homes for the first few years of my career, I began my career in education as a Speech Language Pathologist within the Boston Public Schools.  I worked there for almost 10 years before I moved on to Mansfield.  It was during my short time in Mansfield that I realized I wanted to have a role in education that had a greater impact on more students.  I enrolled in the accelerated leadership program at Bridgewater State University and received my Special Education Administrator license.  I worked for 9 years, in three different districts, as the team chair/coordinator of special education.  While I thoroughly enjoyed these roles and the impact I was able to have on families, students, and my department, I was ready for a new challenge.  I pursued my license as a Principal/Assistant Principal and shortly thereafter joined the administrative team at Beckwith Middle School.

I believe in collaborative problem solving and that all students want to do what's right.  My philosophy is that even when we don't make the best choices, we need to keep moving forward;  what can we learn from our mistakes and how can we make better decisions going forward.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, ages 21, 17, and 15.  I also love dogs, spending time at the beach in Hull, and going to my uncle's farm in upstate NY.
